Gage supports the farm and family incognito - he is always there when we need him. From horse blanket repairs, tech help, night checks, to keeping tabs on all the farm dogs, he always has our backs.
After opening in 2003, Tamara directed and taught several riding programs in addition to our own. These programs included a private boarding school, a private boys and girls camp, The Girl Scouts of Maine, Colby College, and University of New England. Tamara directed our own Meadow View Horse Camp for kids for many years, passing on her vast knowledge of horse care and creating lasting memories for all involved. She continues to direct Meadow View's private lesson program and management of the business.Richie takes excellent care of our horses, helps lesson students at the barn, and is the best Horse Husband to Jaedon! Richie has dedicated a lot of time to learning about horses. When he's not caring for the horses, Richie enjoys hanging out and bonding with the horses, playing with our three dogs, and practicing Liberty and clicker training.
Jaedon is the head trainer, instructor and barn manager at Meadow View Equestrian Center. Jaedon teaches riders of all ages in our lesson program, teaches riding and horsemanship lessons for Kents Hill Sports Camp, and coaches Bates College Equestrian Team. Jaedon trains horses with a relationship-based approach, prioritizing groundwork before moving on to riding. Jaedon believes, “You never stop learning when it comes to horses.” She continues her education in different training styles, including dressage, jumping, natural horsemanship, and positive reinforcement in order to better serve the horses that she works with. She has learned through experience that there is no singular technique that works for every horse. Jaedon has a gravitational pull on horses, and cares deeply for each horse she meets.
Jaedon grew up on the farm surrounded by professionals in the horse industry. She dedicated her time to riding, helping others at the barn, taking care of the horses, and competing at local Hunter/Jumper and equitation shows, including Downeast Medal Finals. Jaedon’s first horse was a young, green Quarter Horse named Twilight Star, aka Twiggy. Twiggy ignited her passion for training horses, and so the journey began. In 2015 Jaedon decided to dive all the way into the family business - taking on students and training clients. She worked hard to be able to graduate early so she could continue her education in the horse industry. Jaedon has taken over much of the business with the help of her mom, Tamara.
Meadow View Equestrian Center’s program has evolved around Jaedon’s passion for training horses and riders.
Craig is the fixer of all things! He transports horses to and from horse shows with years of hauling experience, helps care for the horses, maintains the farm, and is the G.O.A.T Horse Show Dad and Horse Husband.
